Steve Petagna and Boat #4 Return: A few days ago I got a knock on the door and a pleasant surprise. Steve Petagna, whom I helped build Boat #4, dropped in for a visit. An even greater surprise was that he had brought along his boat. (You can see this boat being built in "Past Boats").
Steve is now 23 years old. After 8 years of use, Boat #4 is in great condition.
Steve has packed a lot of living into 23 years. On his way to graduating from the University of Florida with a Business Degree, he learned to fly fish and got a commercial fixed wing pilot's license with an instrument rating. He also got checked out in sea planes. He used this training to get a job as a bush pilot/fishing guide in Alaska, where he spent his summers. In his spare time he has been buying and rehabbing real estate in the Gainesville, FL area. It was a great visit and I was glad to see both Steve and his boat.
