Attaching the Bow-section Portion of the Keel to the Hull: It would be tremendously unwieldy to make and preassemble the entire keel before attaching it to the hull. Because of that I have decided to attach the front portion of the keel to the hull before fitting and assembling the remainder of the keel.

| Roger and I center the keel prior to attaching it to the hull. | While Roger holds the keel in place, I drill through the hull from the inside. |

| Drilling a corresponding hole on the inside of the keel. | I use a carpenters square to make sure the keel is centered before gluing and screwing the keel to the hull. |

| Slathering a heavy coat of slightly thickened epoxy to the hull. | After the keel in screwed into place, Roger smoothes the joint. |

Next I'll go back to Home Depot and buy another piece of 2X8, which I'll use for the second part of the keel.
